Mental Health and Aging Education Modules
The Mental Health and Aging Coalition-KIPDA Region received a grant from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities) to create online education for professionals working with older adults. The Mental Health and Aging Coalition partnered with the Trager Institute to create the modules. The goal of the education is to promote awareness, appropriately assess, identify mental health symptoms in older adults and coordinate care.
Trauma-Informed Care and Older Adults
The following modules were created by the KIPDA Region Mental Health and Aging Coalition. The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, Division of Behavioral Health awarded the grant to develop the modules.

Module 2- Understanding Trauma and Older Adults: The module will provide an overview of understanding trauma and the impact on older adults. Older adults can have different responses to trauma. Module 3- Trauma-Informed Care: This module focuses on trauma-informed care. You will develop a better understanding of trauma-informed care and specific practices to be trauma-informed. https://www.softchalkcloud.com/lesson/serve/3GBZImOPSFyz8l/html
